Hockey World Cup
FIH “Federation Internationale de Hockey” or “International Hockey Federation” in English is the International Governing Body of field hockey and indoor field hockey. FIH is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. It organizes the Hockey World Cup after every four years. Hockey became an Olympic sport in 1908 and the Hockey World Cup started in the year 1971. Pakistan won the first world cup of Hockey which was hosted by Spain in 1971.
