FIH “Federation Internationale de Hockey” or “International Hockey Federation” in English is the International Governing Body of field hockey and indoor field hockey. It is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. FIH organizes the Women Hockey World Cup after every four years.

The Women Hockey World Cup started in the year 1974. The Netherlands won the first women hockey world cup which was hosted by France in 1974. Thirteen women hockey world cup have been played so far, till 2014. The fourteenth edition of women hockey world cup “2018 Women’s Hockey World Cup” is decided to be held in London, England.
